I'm really not sure about this advice, first of all hose water is still tap water so that doesn't make any sense. Some plants are very sensitive to overwatering and I have personally lost my most precious musa ae ae due to leaching I decided to do, root rot has developed after doing so. Letting it dry completely maybe is beneficial for certain species but some palms don't like to dry out, generally speaking you let the top layer of soil dry out before watering rather than letting the whole pot of soil dry out. I think the most important thing is that no potted palm likes to be overwatered.

The red one looks so much like _Aloe cameroonii_ when it’s sun-stressed. Some of the others resemble _Aloe ciliaris_ mixed with some sort of _Cryptanthus_

How long does it take a Blanchetiana to reach full size? Will keeping it in partial shade make it have more green?

So glad I came across your video. I bought a Bromeliad last year, in bloom and it’s already produced two pups. Glad to know the Mother Plant can still be kept after cutting away old bloom and may even produce more pups. I thought I had to discard it.

Are you sure? This looks more like mulfordii Malva. Marcelino in my experience has a wider leaf than this. This leaf comports well with Malva, though.

Hubby bought me a bromeliad for my birthday. I was checking it out since I'd never had one noticed several small brown worms on the soil,they burrowed in the soil when I disturbed them. Took plant out of pot and took all dirt away from roots,dirt was full of worms. Washed the roots clean and reported. Weird !!! Hope it lives it's so pretty.

I keep my broms indoors, I have them in a east window that gets bout 2 hours of morning sun, plus a full spectrum led bulb 6000k am wondering if I can keep red colored broms with this setup, will they keep their red color, or should I just stay away from the reds oranges etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nice, lush vegetation. Beautiful landscaping. I couldn't help but notice the Canary Island pine in the distance at 0:31-0:32. They stand out like crazy at a distance due to their "layered" morphology. How graceful for a tropical pine!
